Dick Van Dyke, 99, Misses Comedy Event due to illness, Mrs. Arlene Silver reveals

Dick van Dyke Missed a comedy event this weekend due to illness.

The actor, 99, would be worth Vandy Camp Beside his wife Arlene Silver At Arlene & Dick van Dyke Theater at Malibu High School on Saturday, June 28, but had to release the last minute.

During a speech, which she identified as “Not Van Dyke you expect,” Silver, 53, told those presence, “I have to inform you that Dick is not to celebrate with us today. I’m sorry.”

“When you are 99 and a half years old you have good days and bad days … and unfortunately today is not a good day for him, and he is sick that he cannot be here,” she continued.

Elsewhere during his speech, Silver depth spoke about her husband’s love for Vandy Camp, and how the event is more than “Just Dick van Dyke.”

“It is a celebration of your childhood, all our childhood, the music that is in the structure for all of us, (and) Dick van Dyke is a big part of it,” she continued.

Then Van Dyke’s fans say “are the biggest people I have ever known,” added silver, “These Vandy Camp (events) is a wonderful opportunity to have you all in the same room and meet each other.”

Silver also said that “being around” Van Dyke “just like a human has made me a better person.”
