Nicole Curtis shares why her ex-boyfriend shows up on a new season of ‘Rehab Addict’ (exclusive)

Nicole Curtis have the help of a surprising partner on the new season of Rehabilitation dependent -Henne’s ex-boyfriend Ryan Sawtelle.

During the season premiere (aired on June 24), Sawtelle works as a carpenter on a Wyoming property from the 1890s which the HGTV star intends to restore after a poorly performed flip.

“We were together for a long time and I was very close to his family,” Curtis tells People and explained why she welcomed Sawtelle on the show. “So we never really stayed without contact. Your lives are so enclosed.”

“I didn’t know anyone in Wyoming, but I knew someone close to Wyoming, and so I called him,” she adds Sawtelle. “We just went out there together and checked out the house. There was nothing else. There was definitely no reconciliation or” maybe this was a mistake that was not together. “No, no, no, …. us to go separate roads was one hundred percent the best idea we ever had.”

“I keep my private life private because I think there have been some very traumatic moments in my life that were not so private,” she says. “Another lesson. I tell people all the time, if you are in my circle, you know what happens in my life. Other than I remain quite mute about everything.”

Curtis has two sons: Ethan, whom she welcomed in 1997 with her ex Steven Cimini, and Harper, born in 2015, which she shares with ex shane Maguire.

She went through a very public year long custody fighting on harper with Maguire and became an outspoken advocate for breastfeeding mothers’ rights. Her decision to continue breastfeeding Harper at the age of 3 drew criticism from some and became a dispute in Her legal struggle with Maguire. The former couple reached a custody agreement in October 2018.

“Our family went a lot over the years, and it is definitely something that I have done my best to keep my family out of the public eye and focus on the houses,” she continues. “It was always where we wanted the focus to be.”
