David Beckham shared an interior Instagram after King Charles named him for knights.

David, 50, published a photo of himself with lunch with his mother at Tony’s Pie and Mash in London, on Monday June 16.

IN Instagram Post, the star athlete wrote, “Lunch with mom, hasn’t seen her since the news 🥹 Mom cried when she arrived, cried during lunch and cried when I left X special moment for us all ❤ love you mom x @Sandra_beckham49 (Dads next 😂) @Tedbeckhamdavid 🥹 @Tonyspieandmash 💚. ”

On Friday June 13th it was announced That David was officially called after Knights by King Charles. The official investment ceremony will take place at a later date.

David is not a stranger to work closely with the royal family. He was appointed an order by the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth 2003 and was later asked to be a ambassador for King’s Foundation 2024.

“I am pleased to work with the King’s Foundation and have the opportunity to help raise awareness of the charity’s work,” he said in a statement at that time.
