The increased workload caused the wife to ask the WFH lifestyle.
“The more I think about it, the more I think it is a back step for women and although WFH is sometimes very convenient it actually means longer hours, I often start working at 6.30, and more of the domestic data that are expected to fall on women’s shoulders,” she wrote.
She turned to the forum to ask if this was “others’ experience” and whether she would return to the office. Most of the users did not think this was a problem about women, but more so a question in her marriage.
“I think it falls for the one who is at home, not my experience that it is the woman who chooses to work from home more. If you can go into the office more why not you? And you should not work extra hours either, why would you work for free?” A commentator wrote.

Others thought to work from home to be advantageous.
“No, I think WFH has liberated for many women and many couples. This seems to be a bit more about the man you got married and your domestic imbalance,” replied a person. “At first, what prevents him from standing up at the same time as you get stuck in his domestic responsibility before going to work?”
