A Florida-based airline has suddenly ceased all operations and left passengers shocked when asked not to go to the airport.

Tuesday, June 11, Silver Airways took to Instagram to formally announce that they would no longer use any flights.

“We regret to inform you that we will cease operations from today, June 11, 2025. In an attempt to restructure in bankruptcy, Silver entered a transaction to sell its assets to another airline, which unfortunately has decided not to continue Silver’s flight surgery in Florida, Bahamas and Caribia,” wrote the airline.

The statement continued: “Do not go to the airport. All credit card purchases should be refunded through your credit card company or your travel agency.”

Silver Airways was based from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and offered flights to four other Florida cities – Tampa, Key West, Tallahassee and Pensacola – as well as flights to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
