KJ Smith debuts baby bump on the red carpet

The Last actress debuted his baby Belly on the red carpet at 2025 Bet Awards On Monday, June 9 outside the PeaCock Theater in Los Angeles. Smith, 40, expects his first baby with Her husband Skyh Black.

Smith glowed in a liquid green dress with cuts and the hair pulled back into an elegant low bun. Black, 37, chose a completely black ensemble with sunglasses and necklaces to complete the look. The parents who are posed on the red carpet for some PDA moments and hand holders.

They talked to people about their special day and the thought -provoking theme they had in mind. “Our last name is black, so we always use it as a game on words,” Black said about the event, which included parts of their shared black culture.

“We are from the south and we have these traditions that are very close and dear to our hearts that our parents and grandparents have shared. Our wedding is a tribute to our ancestors with some elegant moments that we have cured and loved as a couple … and it was better than I imagined.”

“I didn’t want children at all. I was striving to be a rich aunt. I didn’t meet my husband until well into the 30s, so I had already decided,” Smith told ESSENCE exclusively.

“And then when he came into my life, and you meet a man who is responsible and a leader who takes responsibility and wants to become a father, wants a family, changed my mind as we grew and when we became a couple and got married.”

She continued, “he was the main reason I wanted a child. I said:” This would be a good experience with you as my partner and husband. “So I didn’t predict to have children at all, and now I want as many as I can have.”

Black also looks forward to parenting. “My biological father was very absent in my life. So personally it is something that I have always been looking forward to. It is something that I have always dreamed of, how I would get in touch with my child or promote their dreams, so I am excited,” he told the publication.

The bet award will be broadcast live on Monday June 9 from the Los Angeles PeaCock Theater at Bet.
