Everything happened on June 1 at South Plantation High School in Plantation, Florida, under what would be a smooth degree award. Just before he accepts his diploma, a student named Gavin Robinson Decided to celebrate with a bold move: a backflip.
But in the air, things took a turn-he accidentally collided with the girl behind him and sent the ceremony in chaos. The incident was caught on the camera and later published to Tiktok, where it quickly went viral.

The young woman involved – Amelia – identified herself Tiktok Like the one who was met.
“Yes, I am in the video,” formed the last degree a post showing that she holds up her diploma with Miscchap. Since the outlay, her video has taken up more than 3.5 million views and up to 2,600 comments.
“They say life hits you hard after graduation,” joking a user.
“Girl idk how you sat next to him the rest of the ceremony ðŸ˜,” wrote another.
Someone else chimped in, “People are so weird! As why do they always have to do the most?!?! Hope your face is okay.”
With the video that gained traction, Amelia jumped into the comments to clean things up.
“Hello guys! I’m all good and not injured, he told me in advance that I was just distracted. Pls don’t send him any hate !!” She wrote.

When he spoke to people, Robinson, 17, she shares that during the days that led to the degree, he wanted to pull off an extreme celebration that no one else would think about. After deciding on a backflip, he told about five to ten people.
But when the moment came and he started in the flip, he immediately knew that something had gone wrong.
“When I took off in the air and felt that I met my classmate, I thought,” Oh this can’t happen, “he says.
“I didn’t know the girl until two days before graduation – I met her at rehearsal,” he tells people exclusively. “After, when we went to sit, we laughed about it together. Immediately after laughed one of my friends about it in a group chat, and he was the first to publish it.”

“I didn’t think about it at first – I just assumed it would flop – and three hours later it went viral,” he adds.
Since the video took off, Robinson says he has been given a wave of negative comments, which has been tough, especially since most people do not know the whole story. Still, he says he does not feel pressured to answer.
“When I look back, I still stand backflip because I personally think this is as good results, if not better than if I hadn’t,” he says. “And not to blame her, of course it is just like my fault, but if she didn’t go forward I would have landed it.”
He adds, “I’ve talked to the girl briefly to check her out and make sure she’s okay.”
