Texas triplets have celebrated yet another large milestone with each other – their college degree.
Round rock native Cate, Ava and Truman Crawford recently ended at Texas Tech in Lubbock, inspired to go to university after their grandparents, Joe and Betty, met at school.
“When we first toured the university together, it was only meaningful, even though we never thought we would all end up at the same school,” Cate said on a Friday 16 May interview With Texas Tech.
According to the triplets, their parents, Clark and Amanda Crawford, have always raised them to have a sense of individuality even though they are multiples.
Still, there are definitely similarities between siblings, such as all graduates from Texas Tech’s College of Media & Communication.
Truman has a degree in PR and strategic communication management. AVA has a degree in creative media industries, and CATE goes for digital media and professional communication, per KBTX.
“The fact that the university had so many different programs that we all found something we like, says a lot,” Truman told Texas Tech.
Spoken to KCBDCate said: “Growing up was really fun. Our parents were the best and we had a really fun, but individual experience for each of us really focused on yes, we are triplets, but we are also our own individuals.”
“We have gone through everything in life,” added Truman. “The degree of high school, turns 16 and gets your first license and all this. To have another monumental step in our lives that we have all been able to do together, I think for all of us, it is really valuable.”
The family said it was Truman who first got his attractions on Texas Tech, the rest of them only joined while he visited a tour before deciding to register.
“Truman really wanted to go to technology, so we all went to tour as a family, and I think Ava and I were a little hesitant,” Cate told his school. “My perception of Lubbock was that there was a lot of dust and it was pretty much it.”

When once was there, her views changed rapidly.
“When we came to Lubbock and did the whole tour and talked to advisors, it felt like the perfect fit,” Cate said.
Truman graduated from Texas Tech six months ago and now works for the Texas Senate under Senator Brian Birdwell in the Border Security Committee. CATE plans to return to the Texas Workforce Commission to be a promotional coordinator for Office of Media and Communications, and AVA intends to move to Austin to conduct content creation.
“We are just really excited and we will miss Texas Tech, but I think it is good that we will miss it because it means that it is so much for us for the last four years,” Cate told KCBD.
