The end of her caption was apparently a reference to a rude comment she received on one of her April Tiktok videos criticizes his decision to go to college. “What do we call my success, plus going to college?” Reid replied. “My success plus getting a degree? What should we call it? Let me know.”

“And you’re right, college is not for everyone, but it was for me. I wanted to go. I felt I needed to go. I could do it and work full time. I wanted to work and I wanted to continue my education, so I did,” she continued.

“I am everything for people who have their own opinions. But let’s be real. Let’s take advantage of reality. I did. And I also got an Emmy when I did it, in college, 20 years old, junior in college.”

In an exclusive interview with People at Nami Mental Health Gala who honored Robert Downey Jr. And Craig Dubitsky on May 8, Reid said she planned to “take a pace” after graduation, but is “very excited” over what comes the next in her actress’s career. Her next big project is director Teyana Taylor’s Get a little. She also has other projects in the works she could not “say too much about.”

“I am very excited, and it will be a very busy end to the year and a very busy 2026,” Reid told People.
