The disadvantages to several marriage took the center on Sister women‘Latest section.
Valentine’s Day was in full swing on Sunday April 27, episode of HIT TLC series. And of course brown family members Kody BrownThe Meri BrownThe Janelle BrownThe Christine Brown and Robyn Brown was in reflection mode.
Kody, for one, had an interesting view of marriage after enduring three divorces over a 14-month period. “My church is not a cult. It is difficult to get into an easy to get out, but marriage is its own cult. I do not want to reduce marriage, but it is easy to come in and it is difficult to get out,” the 56-year-old said to the cameras.
Later, Kody was shown and took Robyn, 46, to a Valentine’s Day dinner, where she asked him how he felt no longer a polygamist. Kody told Robyn that he felt as if he had been “bang of polygamy.”
“It’s hard not to be bitter about the fact that I bought it and did it because in the end, in the last moments of it, it felt awful,” he said. “I’m like, literally bitter sometimes.”

After Robyn asked if he “missed what it was before,” Kody said it was a “charged” question.

“I don’t want to be flippant with my answer because we were devoted to this, but I’m not interested in several marriages anymore,” he then explained to the cameras. “I don’t want to run another woman because I don’t want that headache, the questions, the fighters, the wonder of trust. I’m not in that space.”
Kody then told Robyn that he “can’t deny” that his children are a “blessing” that has come out of multi -marriage, but he is “completely discouraged by the idea that people feel obliged to do what we did.” At the same time, Robyn said that she has been “heartbroken by all this and tried to understand it.”
But she later told the cameras separately that she is now “very afraid of plural marriage” because of “what has happened” with her family and added that “there is much like trauma there.”

Despite Kody’s first challenges that navigate life as a monogamous man after living as a polygamist for decades, he told us for sure Robyn that he feels “in peace” with where they are now like a couple. Yet that was not always the case for him.
“Since I have been in plural marriage for so long and it was a single focus for marriage for me, when we failed it, I sabotaged myself,” he explained. “It was days unfair to Robyn that I was just going to go away from our relationship too. And it was just because I was so broken, I became self -destructive.”
When he looked back at the ways he tried to sabotage his relationship with Robyn, Kody actually apologizes to her “for the dark space I went through and how it hurt you because it was not fair to you.”
“Because I was angry, you pull back from me. And because you withdrew from me, I not only experienced the anger from the rejection and anger from the failure in our failures in multi -marriage and everything I experienced there, it made me literally have bad thoughts about us.”

At another point in the section, Robyn shared what she felt was something that was not beneficial to her marriage.
“This was something that (Kody, Meri, Janelle and Christine) decided before I even entered the family to not show affection in front of each other. I always saw it as a mistake,” she remembered. “I think it made Kody feel alone, and I think it made each of us wives feel alone.”
Robyn noted that affection “gives comfort to the couple”, and adds, “it makes the couple feel pretty safe and safe. And in multiple marriage there is a lot of uncertainty just because there is so much sharing.”
“It would have made every wife feel safer and more comfortable if Kody could have showed affection or we could have shown affection to him,” she concluded.
