Gelé reel make a significant step forward to correct their criminal past.
The country music star, 40, was recommended for a pardon of Tennessee Board of Parole on Tuesday, April 22.
Nashville Sheriff Daron Hall announced at X.“A year ago I wrote Gov. Bill Lee and asked for a complete pardon for Jason ‘Jelly Roll’ -ford … Today, the board unanimously recommended his pardon.” Hall confirmed that the final decision is “now in the hands” by Gov. Lee.
Alongside his message, he shared pictures of himself and jelly who talked and hugged in what seemed to be a boardroom where the decision took place.
The Board made its non-binding unanimous recommendation in a hearing that lasted an hour and 45 minutes, with several witnesses, including Hall, The Associated Press reported. A board member recalled from voting, according to the outlet.

Jelly hopes to be liberated from his previous crimes and travel internationally to perform, a challenge he has met over the years because of his criminal past.
He said in response to the Board’s decision by AP, “This was incredible. I pray that this is going through. But today it was special to me, regardless.”
As pointed out by the outlet, singer “Save me” told The Parole Board, “I want to be an inspiration for people who are now where I used to be – to let them know that change is really possible. One of the reasons I ask for your recommendation … is because I want to take my message for redemption … (over) the rest of the world.”

Jely has been imprisoned more than 40 times for various drug costs after being arrested for the first time at 14 years old. He has been open to his criminal past because he has spread his message of redemption.
Back in December 2022, musician told people About his prison as a teenager. “I was in and out of there for about three, three and a half years. I spent a lot of time there and was eventually accused as an adult for a crime I committed as a young,” he said.
“And I just realized that it was the most impact that has ever happened in my life, and the darkest moments in my life were still that 15-year-old rescued children spent thanksgiving away from their family.”
