Plastic surgeon uses ‘cupid equation’ to create perfect lips. See before and after (exclusive)

“You can actually say, ‘OK, I will release this point, release the second point, move this point,'” he says about how he works with the equation while mapping a patient’s lips. “And you can get the lip to a beautiful symmetrical shape every time with this algorithm. And that’s what ‘cpid’ is, it is mine, paramedian, intermediate and diagonal. And then you can use it to check everything under the nose. Lateral to it, we use only the outer line and the nasolabial fold to control the rest of the form.” ”

The “CPID” equation, such as Dr. Talei uses to measure a patient’s face, eventually became “cupid”. Not long after he coined the cupid lift. He jokes that “surgeons love acronyms”, so he was excited at the moment, especially because the sensitive shape of the upper lip is often called Cupid’s bow.

The procedure itself, such as Dr. Talei started developing about 10 years ago, taking about 30 to 60 minutes under local anesthesia and the recovery is quite small. The surgeon says you have seams for five days and your lip will be “puffy” for a couple of weeks, but the rejection is the fast and procedure is permanent, unlike if you get lip filling.

Talei has found that he has done cupid lifts on patients who have been dissolved because their lips have been weighed over time. Dr. Talei, which is based in Beverly Hills, California and drives primarily out of Beverly Hills Center for Plastic and Laser SurgeryHas now done thousands of cupid lifts and has taught the procedure for other plastic surgeons as well. He opened one Cupid Lips Clinic In West Hollywood, California, specifically for this procedure (and adjacent procedures) with a team he trained, where patients can get the Cupid lift for $ 5,500.

Dr. Talei himself does not do so many cupid lifts today, he says – he has bigger procedures to tend that – but you can still come up with his books for the lip lift if you insist. The price tag to get your lips made by the OG doctor, however, is very steep: he now takes up to $ 20,000- $ 25,000.
