A 15-year-old boy was charged with murder, attempted murder and abuse by Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney on Wednesday, April 16.
Tierney’s office announced On Thursday, April 17, Long Island Teen could meet 15 years in prison, if it was convicted, for alleging to have stacked its 56-year-old grandmother, Concetta Chendemi, 35 times.
The teenager’s identity has not been released because of his age. He was arrested on Monday, April 7, after he was alleged to have been “upset” that his mother, Vanessa Chendemi, 36, would confiscate his laptop.
About 21:40 on Monday, April 7, Vanessa confronted his son to miss school classes, but then they claimed.
Then Concetta told her daughter, Vanessa, to remove the teenager’s computer as a punishment. The 15-year-old grabbed a knife and stacked his grandmother.
He then turned the knife on his mother. After Vanessa became a knife, “she fell to the ground and played death,” Per Tierney’s statement.
The 15-year-old turned back to his grandmother and continued to knit her.
He fled alleged from the stage per New York Post. Vanessa then left home and flagged a driver down. The driver then let her into their vehicle, and she called 911.

The authorities arrived at the scene and discovered that Concetta had died. Vanessa was transported to a hospital and she is still recovering from her injuries.
The teenager was arrested later at night. He will return to court on Wednesday, May 21st.
“This is an exceptional tragic case that has destroyed a family,” Tierney said on Thursday, April 17, statement. “When a child is said to be violent against his own family members, it creates layers of trauma that extends far beyond physical injuries. Our office will carry out justice for the victims of these terrible acts.”
