The woman says sister -in -law was physically removed from the family’s baby shower

A mother says she kicked her sister -in -law from her daughter’s baby shower, but fortunately the whole family is pretty much on her side.

The 47-year-old woman shared in one post On Reddit’s popular “I am A ——” the forum that the blowout happened during her 25-year-old daughter’s baby show for her second child.

“Her first child, Phillip, was stillborn two years ago 38 weeks,” the woman said. “When she lost him, she asked us to disassemble the nursery before getting home and” getting rid of the “children’s equipment” because it was too painful to have around the house.

“We offered to return Baby Shower gifts to the donors, refused most kindly and asked us to donate the objects … except my husband’s sister, Rachel,” she continued. “She did a huge deal of my daughter being” hysterical “and spoke constantly, loudly about how” ridiculous “it was to take apart the nursery.”

Since then, the woman said that she made a point to limit her sister-in-law interaction with her daughter and “allowed her only to return to family features when she promised to stop taking it up.”

Unfortunately, things did not go well at her daughter’s baby show – and the dynamics got even worse when it was time to start opening gifts.

“(Rachel) said loudly, if you had not torn Phillip’s nursery apart and got rid of everything, you would not be here and begging for gifts for this child,” recalled Redditor.

She said her daughter immediately “froze” and then “tears began to run down her face.” This caused the woman to ask her sister -in -law to leave, which she refused to do.

“I took her present out of the pile, went to the door and threw it out. I screamed” go out, now !!! “And my husband came into the room and asked what happened,” she shared. “His mother told him and he physically picked up his sister and put her outside the door.”

Although the woman wrote that the family was originally “divided” over what happened, in a series of updates, she said they held a family meeting and ultimately decided that her sister -in -law “is unequivocally to blame and should not be allowed to be around my daughters or their children” or “large family meetings” of some kind.

The woman’s colleagues Redditors took largely their side, with one who indicates that all family members who do not “100% support your daughter” should be put on a “no contact list.”

“You don’t even have to tell them,” added comment. “Just ignore them and then block them.”

Another chimped in: “If something, you were too generous by trying to ignore her cruel, thoughtless comments before the last terrible outbreak … Your strainer took a pleasing occasion; a full of hope and promise and poured acid over it.”

“You and your husband both should be praised for your restraint,” continued the comment before they ended up on a positive note: “I hope your daughter has a healthy pregnancy and that your grandson gives you all the great joy.”
