Couple and 9-year-old daughter found dead in their South Carolina home

A family of three has been found dead in their home in South Carolina, according to local reports.

Richard Samarel, 54, Lina Maria Samarel, 45 and 9-year-old Samantha Samarel was identified as the deceased, according to Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office, reports Ymf 4The WSPA and Fox Carolina.

Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office did not immediately respond to people’s request for comment.

On one press release Shared Friday March 28, Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies responded to an “unknown team call” at Marilyn Perry Lane outside Reidville RD at 11:30 local time.

According to the department, there was a first language barrier, but when it was sorted, alternates entered the home where they found three individuals who were deceased.

“In the first step, this agency does not feel like there is any threat to the public,” the press release says.

The authorities added that they would be in the process of sharing the identity of the deceased because “there are other residents of the home who were at school when the incident occurred.”

The department added that they would “sincerely appreciate some compassion in media covers and comments on social media” during this difficult time.

The family’s death was between 10:20 and 11:29, said the coron.

Further details have not been released.

People were enough for Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, confirming that the investigation remains active.
