Jonathan Stanley Sat at a table at his local Barnes & Noble in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Purposeful performance: the secret mixture of connecting, leading and succeeding. Although a bundle of books sat in front of him, only a few people had stopped by to chat, buy a book and get a copy signed.

Like Stanley, who wrote his book after losing her job, sat there, mother of three and content creators Taylor DinelliWho was shopping in the store with her 4-year-old daughter, Ella, noticed that the author was sitting alone. She couldn’t help but feel sympathy for him, since no one had contacted him about his book since they had arrived. She pulled out her phone and recorded a quick video of the stage before Ella started asking questions, fascinated by who he was, why he was there and what he did.

“I explained to Ella that the books on that table were written by the man sitting there, and that he was there to tell people about his book and see if they wanted to buy it,” says the mother, 29, exclusively. “I told her that people could talk to him, and she said, ‘Well, mom, I want to talk to him.’ So we went up to him. ”

While his book was clearly not for a 4-year-old, Ella was so surprised all over. She said: “” Mom, we should definitely get this book. “Dinelli adds,” I said, “Okay, let’s do it.” Ella thought it was so brave of him to sit there and share his story. ”

Later that day, Dinelli took to his Tiktok account to publish the video. Despite her little following, she thought that someone might see the clip and be inspired to go up and talk to a writer or someone who markets themselves. Not long after, she noticed a couple of comments that asked questions like “what is the book?”

A little while later, she published a second video and did not check her phone for a while. Since that night she came on the phone and saw that the video had reached 800,000 views. Since then, Video has collected more than 75 million views and up to 28,000 comments, and Stanley’s book is now sold out online and listed as a Best seller on Amazon.

“We were puzzled. We had no idea why this happened, what happened, but the comments were so friendly and so inspiring, which was fantastic to see,” says Dinelli.

Immediately she was enough for Stanley, who was not on Tiktok at that time, to explain what happened. “I thought, gosh, he will wake up tomorrow and be like:” What on earth is going on? “” She says. “He was already sold out online and climbed the bestseller list. I was really happy to reach him and be able to get in touch with him after everything happened.”

“Taylor was enough for me on Sunday and again on Monday morning, and just said,“ Do you go okay? ““ Stanley is reminiscent of people exclusively. “She said,“ I know this must be overwhelming. “She said,” I never thought in my wildest imagination that this would be Hyper-Viral, but I just wanted to check in on you. “”

When he thought back to that moment in the bookstore, Stanley tells how even though the conversation he shared with Ella and Dinelli touched his heart, at the moment he did not understand the impact he would have on them and thousands of people all over the world. He adds how when he started writing the book, he told his wife that his dream was to reach just one person. Now, thanks to the Mother-Dotter duo, he exceeds it far.

To thank Dinelli, Stanley invited the family to a meal and suggested that the three filmed another video together for their followers.

“I’m really just trying to take a moment of the break and really reflect on what’s next for me,” he says. “I really want to embrace the Tiktok community. I think it is a really important moment in time to continue to share this message to bring humanity back to the labor force and continue to spread the message of kindness.”

“But at the same time I really want to continue to give back,” he adds. “I think the most important thing we can do as a leader is really starting to change our way of thinking about what our responsibility is. And I think we have to stop thinking about what we can get to what we can give.”

Dinelli adds that since she went viral, she has produced the world in her house and will sit down with Ella to determine where in the world the comments are flooding from, to help her understand how far this message has spread.

“I explained to Ella how much to do this helped him and will help his career and really change his entire life,” says Dinelli. “Her immediate response was,“ Mom, we can help everyone. “So we will start something called Sunday Spotlight, where once a week we will light up another person. ‘”

“If people in the Tiktok community can rally behind another person, even a small part of what we did for Mr. Stanley, it can be life-changing for everyone, even if it is on much less scale,” she adds. “Ella is about helping people and getting people to smile. She’s really special. And so it’s our next task – just keeping the train going.”
