A plan passenger says she was told by an angry mother who wanted to change his place with her on a new flight under questionable circumstances.
On Sunday, March 9 Reddit To ask her other forum users if she was wrong in a bizarre sitting debt.
The original poster, or OP, explained in her resale of the incident that she took a late, cross -country ski to Newark Liberty International Airport, during which she sat in her assigned place, “right behind the output line in the hallway,” she wrote.
OP wrote that she was immediately contacted by a woman who asked if they could change places so she could sit next to her two children.

The poster notes as if they had been young children, this would be an understandable request to do, but the woman’s two sons seemed to be college age, at least “over 18,” she wrote.
“I began to say that I would prefer to stay in a pedestrian closer to the front because I become claustrophobic but she interrupted me,” OP wrote.
The passenger continues to explain that the woman called her a “bad person” for separating her from her children before giving up and returns to her own middle place.
When the plane landed, the woman went back to OP’s row and told her she knew she must have had a “big flight” because she was sitting next to her “two amazing children.”
On the contrary, OP claimed to the readers of the children that “honestly they were disgusting high and did not have deodorant.”

Things, however, only escalated when planned.
Mom began to say screaming “lots of tracking” on the other passenger, which made the op for her safety, she wrote. “When I look back, I wish I got someone else involved,” she said.
After the fact, the poster writes, she questioned whether she would only have given up her place, because if the children were younger she would have been more willing to change places with the woman.
But the comment episode had less sympathy for the upset woman and decided that the poster was not wrong. Many of the answers echoed similar feelings to a commentator who wrote: “If the women cared so much, she should have paid extra to get them to sit together or booked the flight earlier.”

Redditors agreed that the woman should have bought her and her sons tickets before to guarantee that they were sitting together or risks sitting away from them.
Some commentators saw another possibility: that the sons did not want to sit with their mother.
“The children very likely moved their own places when they checked in to be away from her,” wrote a person. With another addition, “her adult children were probably relieved to get rid of her.”
Resecspert Nicole Campoy Jackson from Fora Travel previously spoke with people after a similar scenario discussed in a 2023 Instagram post triggered a viral conversation.
“As much as possible, passengers should choose their places in advance for this exact reason,” Campoy Jones prevailed. “I don’t think you can board a plane with the expectation of someone leaving their place for you.”
Campoy Jones adds that if a change escalates, it is the job with air hosts and the airline to handle because it is no longer a passenger’s responsibility. “
