Damson Idriss teenage nephew has been identified as among the youngest victims of a stabbing rampage in England.

The British Transport Police (BTP) revealed in a press release on Tuesday November 4 that a 17-year-old boy “suffered facial injuries” after being attacked with a knife on London’s Docklands Light Railway.

The incident happened just hours before officers received reports that several others were stabbed on board an LNER train service from Doncaster to London King’s Cross.

Isaiah Ishmael Idris, who is the 17-year-old nephew of British actor Damson, 34, is believed to be among the youngest victims of the knifeman responsible for the mass stabbing, according to Metro and that Daily Mail.

After being attacked at around 00:46 local time on Saturday, November 1, Isaiah is said to have “staggered” off the train at Pontoon Dock station and called the UK’s emergency number 999, according to Metro.

The suspect, Anthony Williams, 32, left the scene before the police arrived, according to BTP’s press release. He was found and arrested later that day.

Damson has yet to comment on his nephew’s reported injuries. But Isaiah’s other uncle, Habeeb Idris, confirmed the incident.

“I am aware that Isaiah was involved in the incident on a train, but we are dealing with this privately as a family,” Habeeb told Daily Mail.

British Transport Police (BTP) were alerted to several people being stabbed on another train at around 19:42 local time on Saturday 1 November. At least 10 people were found injured at the scene and taken to a local hospital for treatment, BTP said in an earlier press release.

Following several stabbing incidents between October 31 and November 1, Williams appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court charged with attempted murder on Monday, November 3.

Seven of the victims injured in the stabbings were released from the hospital on Tuesday. One patient, one train crew remains in a stable but critical condition and three other patients remain stable in hospital, BTP confirmed.

Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Cundy said in a statement, “The crime investigation is a priority for the BTP, and we are working closely with Cambridgeshire Constabulary and the Crown Prosecution Service.”

“We have also this week initiated measures to increase the visibility of police officers across the rail network to reassure both rail staff and the traveling public.”
