The remains of a 32-year-old man from England who disappeared more than two years ago have been recovered in Georgia.
The British citizen Alex Hodgson Doughy’s residue was located by the authorities in a wooded area on private land near Kingsland, GA. Tuesday, February 4, the FBI Jacksonville confirmed in one News notice. Georgia Bureau of Investigation Medical Examins confirmed her identity.
The FBI Jacksonville’s Evidence ResponSam led the investigation and searched for Doughty after his mother reported that he was missing when he visited Northern Florida in September 2022. She shared the police “concern for his well -being” at that time, according to the release.
After the recovery of Doughty, no criminal charges are expected.
“While we had hoped to get Mr. Doughty’s family better news, we are grateful to give them a certain closure,” said special agent in Charnin Rehler. “This discovery is the direct result of our partnership and special agents from the FBI Jacksonville Cellular Analysis Survey Team (CAST), which were relentless in their efforts to limit potential search sites.”

According to a Missing Person’s ReportDoughty’s was most recently located at Bay Street Bar and Grill on 119 East Bay Street, in Jacksonville, Florida, about 15.30 on September 11, 2022. He was released in a taxi to Kingsland an hour later.
His mother, Pamela Hodgson, wrote on his Facebook page In January 2023, “Alex is now missing for four months. Please help find him. While there are still uncertainties in Alex disappearance … it is believed that he stayed in Callahan and/or Fernandina, Florida, on this trip. ”
She added that her son “has not been in contact with her friends or family” since he arrived in Florida and that his friends and family “are extremely worried about him.”
