Emily Deschanel shares the key to her long-lasting marriage with her husband David Hornsby.
The couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary earlier this year on September 25, 2010. While chatting with PEOPLE at the 18th Annual GO Gala on Friday, October 17 at The Maybourne Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills, Calif., Deschanel, 49, opened up about her successful relationship with Hornby in 49 words.
“Good communication,” Deschanel tells PEOPLE.

She continues, “That’s one thing that’s helpful. We’ve been married 15 years now, so that’s about 100 years in Hollywood years.”
Deschanel and Hornsby tied the knot in Los Angeles. The couple invited their closest family members and friends, including the Deschanels Bone costs David Boreanaz.
Over the years, the couple welcomed two sons, 14-year-old Henry and 10-year-old Calvin.
Deschanel and Hornsby have kept their romance largely out of the spotlight. The actress’s younger sister, Zooey45, and her fiance, Jonathan Scott47, may be taking notes on the couple’s privacy as they have also kept details of their relationship out of the limelight.

Zooey and Jonathan, who got engaged two years agohave been tight-lipped when it comes to sharing details about their wedding. Even Deschanel has been kept in the dark.
“I don’t know when it will happen,” says Deschanel about the long-awaited wedding during her interview with PEOPLE. “I mean, at this point they’re just enjoying their lives. But I’m ready to throw that bachelorette party when I get the go-ahead.”
The actress has given up nagging her sister and soon-to-be brother-in-law for wedding planning insight.
“I don’t ask, well, I don’t ask. I just let it be,” she says. “I asked at the beginning. I let them be. They let me know when it happens. And the fact that they’re engaged is wonderful in itself.”
