Connie Britton is engaged!

The Nashville alum, 58, is set to marry her longtime love, David Windsor, PEOPLE has confirmed. Britton and the producer have been together for almost six years.

Amidst their engagement news, the couple was spotted at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Friday, October 24. They were photographed sharing a kiss and Britton was wearing a ring on her left ring finger.

Back in March, the actress opened up about her relationship with Windsor in an interview with Paradeand told how she knew he was “the one”.

“What I was really looking for was a partnership where there’s constant growth, on both sides, and a kind of deepening of each other,” she said.

Britton noted that it was more than just a feeling that she had found “true love” – ​​in Windsor, she had a true partner for life.

“I found someone that I can go on a journey with that will be ever-changing,” she explained.

During a 2023 appearance on SiriusXM’s Radio AndyBritton shared that she and Windsor — who she called an “amazing man” at the time — were set up at a friend’s 50th birthday party in late 2019. She said it was a moment she would “never forget.”

“I walked into his party and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I don’t know a single soul at this party.’ But I thought, ‘It’s okay, I just want to celebrate him. It’s his 50th birthday. And so I’m talking to my friend, and he looks past me and he sees David across the room and he says, ‘There’s someone here you’ve got to meet’. Although they didn’t end up actually meeting that night — “because it was like, you know, dinner, separate tables, whatever,” the actress said — Britton told her friend to ask Windsor to email her. The producer was “very bold” and reached out to her the very next day.

Sharing some more information about Windsor on Radio Andy at the time Britton said Windsor had been married before and had children. As for Britton, she was previously married to John Britton from 1991 to 1995. She is the mother of his Yobywhich she adopted in 2011.

Months before meeting Windsor, a then-single Britton revealed that she got a little matchmaking help from another Hollywood star – Julia Roberts.

“I’ve become friends with Julia Roberts,” she shared Busy Philipps on E! talk show Busy tonight in January 2019. “She tried to get me to see someone… It hasn’t worked yet, but at least mom tried, you know what I’m saying.”
