Jean Smart Had several happy opportunities to celebrate the last weekend.
On Sunday, September 14, the actress, 74, won outstanding principal actress in a comedy series at 77th annual Emmy Awards For her performance as comedian Deborah Vance on HBO MAX series Hacks.
After the ceremony, Smart celebrated her birthday (September 13) and her fourth Emmy victory for the Dramedy series with a small circular white cake topped with a singular light.

“Thank you so much. You honor me so much,” started smart during her acceptance number during the ceremony. “If I went (on stage) like John Wayne, it is because I broke my knee this summer and it’s not really repaired.”
She continued, “One of the best things about winning something similar is that you actually have to thank the people you work with. Our incredible crew, my incredible rolemates, led by the incomparable Hannah Einbinder. Our showrunners (are) beyond brilliant.” She continued to call her children, Connor and forest“My anchor” and her partner, Joe Pacheco, “My cheerleader.”

Smart won the outstanding principal actress Emmy for his role at Hacks 2021 and 2022, along with six Emmy awards and 14 nominations throughout their career. Under her Acceptance speech Last year for outstanding actress in a comedy series, the actress shook fun at her own success.
“Thank you. Thank you very much. It is very humble, it really is,” joking smartly. “And I appreciate this, because I just don’t get enough attention,” Before I add, in the middle of laughter from the audience, “I’m serious!”
