Householdsfrom the director Paul Feig and screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine is based on Freida McFadden2022 Bestseller, a psychologically twisted story without a lack of surprises, which is indicated by the first trailer to lose Tuesday 16 September.
The glimpse of the big screen adjustment creates a mystery for Maid Millie (Sweeney), the family she works for (Seyfried and Brandon skins) and the land holder of the house (Michele Morrone). Millie “soon learns that the family’s secrets are much more dangerous than her own,” per synopsis.

Talk to people at SXSW Film & TV Festival premiere for their movie Another Easy Service In March, Feig, 62, tease That the team behind Households “Did a really good job” with translating McFaddens thriller for the screen. “Because it is nerve-wracking-as it is easy to do something out of a book that is not good; when a book is really good it is like, oh boy.”
In the lead role, Sweeney, 28, was “very attentive to it, and I think we just met the perfect balance,” he added at that time.
Erin Westerman, president of production for Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, previously described Sweeney and Seyfried, 39, as “perfect” for their opposite roles. “They are both mysterious, nuanced and incredibly skilled at becoming characters who don’t reveal everything directly,” she said.

IN The people’s last first look at the movieSeyfried said that the movie “captures everything fans loved about the book – the secrets, the excitement and turns.” Added Sweeney, “I can’t wait for the fans to see how hard we all worked to bring Households to life. ”
Millie is exactly “the kind of character I love to play: complex, strong and with a little something up sleeve,” said Euphoria star.

Behind the scenes were Sweeney and Seyfried “true pleasure to work with,” Feig said.
“They are both up for something, and we had so much fun to play with all the turns that the story takes through these characters,” he said. “They both slipped into these challenging roles without problems and took full ownership of them. We couldn’t have had a better time together to make this movie.”
Households Is in theaters December 19.
