A man attacked four young girls with a meat splendor in Brooklyn, new, before the police shot and arrested him – after one of the victims called 911.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) first responded to the stage at 1671 84th Street around 10:15 AM LOCAL TIME on Sunday, April 6, after an 11-year-old girl called 911 to report an “ongoing attack”, the authorities said that she and her siblings were “knife-headed by her uncle,” NYPD commission SA Jessic press conference Later that day.
While the girl did not know her address, 911 technicians could get her phone place. When officers arrived at the home in the Bensonhurst area, let an “undamaged child” the police to the first floor of the building, Tisch said.
The police then forced themselves into the girl’s apartment and kicked the door down. They met a “man who was close to the entrance and kept a large meat cloth covered with blood,” according to the commissioner.
“The officials ordered the man to release the weapon several times,” Tisch said, leaving that the suspect “refused and advanced against them.”

Two officers then fired seven rounds against the suspect and beat him before “quitting the threat,” Tisch said. Four girls – ages 8. 11. 13 and 16 – were found in the apartment with “serious slash and stab wounds.”
The man has since been identified as 49-year-old Longqian Chen, who NYPD said is believed to be “a relative.” He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition on April 6, Tisch told reporters.
NYPD did not immediately respond to people’s request to clarify the spelling of human name.
“At present, all four children are expected – thank God – survive,” Tisch said during the news conference. “But this could have ended very differently.”
After praising the first respondents, the police commissioner talked about “the heroes for the children involved” -including both the 11-year-old victim who called 911 while “hiding in a room,” and the “young, undamaged boy” who warned a neighbor. The police who were involved, who were taken to a hospital for evaluation, will also “be good,” Tisch said.

The authorities have since recovered two knives from the stage, including a “big cleft” in human possession and “another bloody knife” located in a room. While the motive is “still under investigation,” the family members told NYPD that the suspect had a “history of mental illness.”
Police confirmed to reporters on April 6 that there was no previous history of home violence.
“Right now we have four children who are still alive because of the quick-thinking and decisive action from your NYPD officers and EMT. I want to thank and praise everyone involved,” Tisch said.
New York Post and New York Daily News were the first to report on the attack. A neighbor who identified himself to Post Like Mary, said she saw a girl “covered with blood” before she saw “another girl” under the same circumstances.
“I was shaking. I was still shaking now,” the neighbor said. “I usually don’t see them. They just moved here. (I have) lived here seven years, and there are many new people moving here.”
State Assembly Lester Chang also told local media, in a video shared by Postthat a “male offender” had been shot “by the police” after the authorities discovered “several” children covered with blood.
The Post Shared pictures of the suspect who is rolled out on a stretcher after he is shot by the authorities. The outlet also published a picture of an obvious victim outside, which seemed to be covered with blood.
“They brought out a guy on a stretcher, all bloody without a shirt,” neighbor Humbert Huerta told the outlet. “I don’t know who it was, but they shot him twice. They took him out and put him in the ambulance.”
