One person is dead and several are hospitalized after two levels collided on a track at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday 10 February. Several others were also injured.
At 14:39, local time collided, a medium -sized business jet that arrived at the airport with another Business Jet “parked on private property”, said Kelli Kuester, aviation planning and outreach coordinator at Scottsdale Airport, in a statement shared with people.
The course is closed “for the foreseeable future,” Kuester said.
Five people were involved in the incident, where one was pronounced dead on arrival, said Scottsdale Fire Department Talesman Captain Dave Folio in a news briefing published by Fox 10 Phoenix. Two people were transported to Traumecenter, and another was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. The fifth person was still caught in one of the aircraft at the press conference.
“We do everything we can to extract and save the soul that is still on board,” he added. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved in this.”
Folio noted that the authorities arrived at the site only moments after the incident and requested additional alarms and Hazmat units to evaluate the area and surrounding buildings. The authorities “got a completely clear” of the nearby structures, Folio said.
Scottsdale Airport previously said via X that the incident occurred on the runway 21.
People were enough for the Scottsdale Fire Department for more information.
History is developing.
